Wonderful "Kara Kush" resin....

A few days this week were spent painting the underlayment of dapples on a wonderful "Kara Kush" resin...
owned and commissioned by Sue...."Kara" is sculpted by Andrea Kessler...and "Kara" is being painted by me to a metallic black going grey in rich oils.."Kara" is about 25% completed in these photos....

  1. Wow, she looks great, Sandra! Are you using oils for that? How are you getting that nice grainy look?

  2. Hi Carol..I am using oils to paint "Kara"...I use a very small brush to apply the paint in very thin layers....I use no thinner or drying agents.

  3. OK, that's it, I'm sick and tired of prying my jaw off the floor every time I see what you are currently working on. I'm simply gonna leave it there and if people have a problem with it, I'll tell them I'm a professional fly catcher. LOL
